Standard stand-alone heat staking system with a simple base plate to mount a workpiece holder. The product to be processed is located by the operator directly in the workpiece holder fitted under the heat staking head and the staking process is started by a pushbutton. The operating area of the heat staking head is monitored by a light curtain at the housing opening. If there is any intrusion into the operating area or the light curtain is broken during the staking process, the system switches into the “emergency off” condition. All components withing the housing are then isolated from compressed air and from electric voltage. The heat staking unit can be fitted with various single and multiple heat staking heads. Standard heat sealing system of a larger design and construction to allow integration of additional functions and the use of a turntable up to 500mm diameter for larger components, which cannot be fitted on a smaller turntable.. While the external workpiece holders are being unloaded and re-loaded with new workpieces, , the product within the machine is heat sealed. In this example, two plastic pins are formed with two separately suspended heat sealing dies. This arrangement is necessary when the maximum size needs to be monitored. The plastic domes fed through the circuit board are formed into a rivet by the die, so that the circuit board is fixed in the plastic part. Thermoplastic materials such as PA, PP, PBT, POM, PC and PE (also with glass fibre content) are caulked. The heat required for the process is introduced into the plastic via pulse-heated dies. Under the action of the necessary application force, the components are positively and firmly bonded. The die(s) are moved to the product via a pneumatic shaft and the necessary process force is generated via spring elements. According to the application, the heating of the die takes place before or during the contact with the product. On completion of the fusing process, the die is lifted from the fusing point.
